Any random conversations that aren't related to football can be talked about here. Nothing for me except the fact that I just created these forums

People'll do it because they think it's cool. Even Ronaldo is doing it. Fucking annoying fad. anyone nominates me i'll tell them to fuck off you do realize its to raise awareness for ALS? if you don't know what that is, thats what the internet is for. I do not think its bullshit or stupid. Its for a good cause and people donate lots of money towards ALS. If you think raising awareness is bullshit then I don't honestly know what to say.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)—also referred to as motor neurone disease (MND), Charcot disease, and, in the United States, Lou Gehrig's disease—is a neurodegenerative disease with various causes. It is characterised by muscle spasticity, rapidly progressive weakness due to muscle atrophy, difficulty in speaking (dysarthria), swallowing (dysphagia), and breathing (dyspnea).
ALS is the most common of the five motor neuron diseases. The disorder causes muscle weakness and atrophy throughout the body due to the degeneration of the upper and lower motor neurons. Individuals affected by the disorder may ultimately lose the ability to initiate and control all voluntary movement, although bladder and bowel function and the muscles responsible for eye movement are usually spared until the final stages of the disease.
Cognitive function is generally spared for most patients, although some (about 5%) also develop frontotemporal dementia. A higher proportion of patients (30–50%) also have more subtle cognitive changes which may go unnoticed, but are revealed by detailed neuropsychological testing. Infrequently ALS coexists in individuals who also experience dementia, degenerative muscle disease, and degenerative bone disease as part of a syndrome called multisystem proteinopathy.Sensory nerves and the autonomic nervous system are generally unaffected, meaning the majority of people with ALS will maintain hearing, sight, touch, smell, and taste.
Your welcome, read it and then tell me that its bullshit when its not. Let people do what they want. They're doing it for a good cause and had family members die from this disease, before you criticize something the world is doing, read about why they are doing it.

I wasn't aware, however I have had a family member die to a very similar disease before I was even born and they never did anything for him. I did sound very rude in saying "i'm not doing such bullshit" however I feel like they could have done a charity run instead, because its much more understandable. Some people don't really know the story behind this.

Some people don't really know the story behind this. I have to agree with that. I apologize, kinda went on a rant but you know haha thats why its called "general discussions" and thats terrible.... I haven't had a family member die from this and I am thankful for that.
